2004 Fall Graduates
Mae Rose and Vanini got their respective M.S. degree this December. There are 8 graduate students left in FSA. Are we recruiting more members?
Graduate life of pinoy hokies in Blacksburg
We attended the midnight mass at St. Mary's. Noche Buena was at Maysie and Lilian's apartment.
We had a small get-together at the Mongado's. The people are tired but found time to celebrate Daisy's birthday. Vanini and Edwin are going to Penn tomorrow. Roy is also leaving around noon tomorrow -- going to VA Beach to spend the holidays.
The party was great! It was a night of good food, beers, wines, karaoke, and gifts. It was also an occasion to celebrate Vanini, Mae, and August's graduation. We are very grateful to tito Archie and tita Remy for hosting the party the nth time around. Thanks tito Archie and tita Remy!
Merry Christmas!
We trooped to Jess' place to celebrate the hokies' win against the hurricanes. Virginia Tech won 16-10. The complete AP story is here.
We had a baked turkey (ooops sorry hokie bird) through the generosity of Uncle Ben.
Robert recently offered his resignation as president of FSA. With one dissenting vote (Bing), Daisy is overwhelmingly voted as the new president of FSA. The members present were Jess, Daisy, Bing, Mae Rose, Roy, Allan, Botchak, and Vanini. Robert is probably caught in the traffic -- the town of Blacksburg celebrates the hokies' capture of the ACC crown this year.
The christmas party is scheduled on 17 December 2004 (venue: TBA). Please bring a $10 gift for the exchange gift.
